If you like early Ride, these guys will shave your pits. Also very much in the Pixies' quietLOUDquiet form. Really fucking good.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

You'd dig these guys. They don't sound like Pixies, only how the songs work.Kory wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 10:38pmI like Ride but loathe Pixies. What should I do?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑30 Jul 2021, 1:16pm

Hello,
I'm not much for Moby but I am a rhythm guy.

I certainly dig the cover. I'll check them out hopefully today. And then Dave.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑31 Jul 2021, 6:20amYou'd dig these guys. The best song the Byrds never wrote...

Not much different to the original though.
You know who should've covered this? The Modern Lovers that's who.

A beautiful track in its own right but to me to it's only half finished without the segue straight into Dusk (basically a reprise of Daybreak) and then the way it smashes into Sword of Light, one of my favourite music intros. Anyone familiar with the album might get my drift!

The best Irish folk/rock/trad album ever released for me. So criminally underrated.Heston wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 1:17pmI'm very familiar with the album and totally get your drift.Low Down Low wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 12:31pmA beautiful track in its own right but to me to it's only half finished without the segue straight into Dusk (basically a reprise of Daybreak) and then the way it smashes into Sword of Light, one of my favourite music intros. I've got it on now. A strange hybrid of hard rock, trad and folk but it somehow works.Low Down Low wrote: ↑03 Aug 2021, 1:31pmThe best Irish folk/rock/trad album ever released for me.
