Good man. As far as we know Laxgirl only has one kidney, so I was more than happy to support this cause.Marky Dread wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 3:40pmBought one.laxman wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 2:44pmhttps://delayeddeparturealbum.bandcamp. ... KGtbg7URks

I see what you mean. I'm annoyed that two 12" b-sides, 'AG It's You Again'' and 'Voluntary Wishes, Swap It Production,' are still not included on a re-issue. They aren't that great, but still missing.Marky Dread wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 1:57pmOh sure I'm aware of those tracks being available. I simply meant between the editions of "Sulk". The 40th anniversary has a few extra tracks than the 2016 edition but not much that I'm that interested in. Like the live tracks that always seem to fill these things out.dave202 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 1:23pmThe Peel sessions can already be found. The 1994 release 'The Radio 1 Sessions' has some tracks, but I'm pretty sure everything they did for the Peel show is on 2003's 'The Radio One Sessions Vol.1 (1981-1983)' while 'Vol.2 (1984-1985)' from the same year doesn't have any Peel sessions, as they (Billy?) weren't (wasn't?) in the studio for him.Marky Dread wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 12:24pmI bought the two disc cd. Sounds really good. I was looking at that 3cd 40th anniversary set but noticed the main album and the majority of disc 2 are all the 2016 mixes. So the only other tracks I would've wanted was the Peel sessions.

Yeah that's a shame from the completist side of things. I expect the masters tapes are missing or something.dave202 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 6:11pmI see what you mean. I like Cherry Red's compilations, but isn't one of the criticisms that they don't always pay to get the master tapes and sometimes use vinyl rips? Maybe they weren't prepared to pay for these other tracks?Marky Dread wrote: ↑26 Apr 2022, 5:06amYeah that's a shame from the completist side of things. Yes I've read some horror stories of them using poor vinyl rips and chopping off intros etc.laxman wrote: ↑26 Apr 2022, 12:19pmI like Cherry Red's compilations, but isn't one of the criticisms that they don't always pay to get the master tapes and sometimes use vinyl rips? I don't mind decent vinyl rips when they are properly cleaned up and mastered. Or when the original masters are damaged or genuinely missing.

Interference, Interference. Toward the end of the original no wave scene (1982ish). Funky, drone-y, chaotic, but in no way noise terror.

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
Definitely a compilation worth owning. I’m guessing we already had the Ruts DC live track on one of their own releases? I don’t think I spotted any details about where it was recorded.Marky Dread wrote: ↑06 May 2022, 1:54pmPlayed this today. Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
Possibly I didn't check. But it didn't sound familiar to me so maybe not. But some solid tunes and the spoken word stuff is cool. Very good comp and a great worthwhile cause.laxman wrote: ↑06 May 2022, 2:14pmDefinitely a compilation worth owning. I’m guessing we already had the Ruts DC live track on one of their own releases?
