My library had a copy of Bowie’s Welcome to the Blackout, a live album released last year made of two shows from 1978 that I somehow only learned existed like a week ago. Two songs in and it’s good as hell.

I posted that in this thread sometime back and I think only Matedog responded. The Earls Court shows and yes they are brilliant. An amazing listen and I was at the Saturday show.

I must’ve missed it. I like it better than Stage so far, and I love Stage.

Add me to that list, it is an amazing document and I do prefer it to Stage. There is quite a bit of documentation of that tour, Baton Rouge, Beat Club, Berlin, Stage, Tokyo and London.

Now I'm waiting for, a hopefully clean and speed corrected version of the Clairville Grove demos.

Wouldn't mind a DVD at all. I know some of that stuff was filmed.

No, not at all. E has gone in a number of directions. The past ten or fifteen years, tho, he's been pretty standard rock, a touch of Americana, I suppose. I'd recommend every album up to and including Blinking Lights. After that, tho, he seems to have lost his spark.

Exactly, I should clarify, I've no use for vinyl. I'm dying to hear them as I've had the boot for ages and it's a tough listen with all the wow and flutter
