I'm listening to the appallingly named album Blow Up Your Video by AC/DC. Better than I remembered, though some of the tracks were fairly forgettable there are no real stinkers. This one is a highlight for me, Two's Up, fantastic, epic track.

I spun that recently-ish, I recall thinking the Heatseeker and That's The Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll were a decent 1-2 punch to open the album, before things got pretty bland. Might have to give the ac/dc discog another runthrough once the spooky season is out of my season.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

I really stopped following after For Those About to Rock. I saw them live on that tour and it was a great show but when I choose to listen to them Bon Scott is singing.

I'm with revbob. I don't doubt there are a couple of good tunes with Brian. But I get everything I need from the Bon years.

Same here. I saw them 2 nights on the Back In Black tour as well. I'm still disappointed I just missed the Bon era.

Treated myself to a new copy as my 40 year old version is worn out. Is it worth the extra $$$ for the 40th anniversary remastered edition?
Yes absolutely it is like hearing it for the first time all over again!

Well I have the previous 2 disc deluxe set. This new 4 disc edition doesn't improve on that sound but then in fairness it's not meant to as that sounds the best it's ever going to. It's the extras for me here and some stuff with a new mix like the brilliant Mr. Reporter sounding better than ever. The third disc of The Lost Dave Davies album sounds superb and some great outtakes etc. My fave band of all time so I'm very happy. I've not played the 4 vinyl singles and I doubt I ever will.

They can. There are 180 gram vinyl copies in the rack as I type. Not double vinyl though and not a half speed master.

Is it the half speed master that makes the difference thought.

That and use of the original masters. The Clash S/T 2013 edition is cut from the original masters. Beware though there are quite a few versions with companies like HMV having pressings with back to black editions and coloured vinyls.

The first 25 seconds of this song is pure bliss for me. Crackling guitar and then those drums like an elephant's foot. And moves along so slowly, no hurry at all to eat. Just eating you up.

Vaguely Bjorkish, only it sounds like she actually wrote the vocal lines before recording them. One of those songs you feel like you heard in some other reality.

Almost gave up waiting for it to really start - but glad I stuck with it!
