The end of liberty

I never understood INXS. It's like part Huey Lewis cod R&B but with a more sexy vocalist and drum machines.

Latest additions to the playlist, what I'm loving at the moment. There may be a loose theme here.

Great album, plus a fab cover of Yes It Is:

Their second album wasn't bad but then I wouldn't really call myself a fan.

I found it pretty derivitive of the traditional sound of the Oscillating FansMarky Dread wrote: ↑15 Aug 2021, 8:30amTheir second album wasn't bad but then I wouldn't really call myself a fan.

My opinion on these things has a tendency to move back and forth.revbob wrote: ↑15 Aug 2021, 8:37amI found it pretty derivitive of the traditional sound of the Oscillating FansMarky Dread wrote: ↑15 Aug 2021, 8:30amTheir second album wasn't bad but then I wouldn't really call myself a fan.

Marnie Stern, The Chronicles of Marnia. I am so not a fan of virtuoso playing—I all but loathe it—but Marnie Stern is a rare exception. Wicked-ass shit here.

How I didn't know about this person until about a month ago still haunts me. How in the world could something this good pass me by? Granted I'm way more invested in UK post-punk, but it seems like I would have come across this much sooner.

I love her! Like a mirror universe Madonna. Her Rosa Yemen ep is one of my favourite no wave records.Kory wrote: ↑17 Aug 2021, 4:17pmhttps://3fach.ch/storage/app/uploads/pu ... 0_crop.jpg

In my exploration I've gone forward from this album, but I have to go backwards now to listen to her early work.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Aug 2021, 4:26pmI love her! Like a mirror universe Madonna.
