Getting into the Faces for the first time.
Good man. There's some quality stuff there.
There definitely is. They were one of the first "classic" rock bands I ever got into (besides the staples like the Beatles and Stones). Rod the Mod truly has one of the best rock voices ever...even if he stopped applying his full potential circa 1977.
My first exposure to Rod Stewart was thru the awful solo material he's done and I find it hard to disassociate it from anything else he's done.
Revton

I love the Small Faces but never had much time at all for the Faces. Just can't get past his voice.
Two totally different bands, Steve Marriot was in a league all his own, that little guy could sing! and he was a real mods mod. For me the Small Faces were right up there with the Beatles, Stones and The Kinks.

Yeah. I keep trying, and there are some good songs, but it reminds me of too many terrible things.
Yeah. For instance I like some of the Jeff Beck Group stuff (Truth) but consider the vocals to be the weakest link.

No, he's got a luggage label tied to his tonsils.

Listening to lots of Cure, I had to make a playlist for somebody that doesn't really know them. It was extremely difficult.

Share that bastard, you selfish fucker.

The hard part for me would be if I were obliged to cover every album. If I could stop at Wish, yeah, I can do a solid hour, tho I'd probably be three-quarter singles.

Too much Disintegration (yet skipping "Pictures of You") for my tastes—maybe I need to listen this again because I'm almost negative towards its reputation—but this is certainly defensible given the challenges of capturing the Cure for the uninitiated. Still, no "Inbetween Days" (mid-80s alt pop in a snapshot, especially the first 30 seconds) and Kiss Me got shortchanged, imo.

I wonder if this is going to be the similarly titled to 4:13 Dream that was promised years ago.
