Hey Heston check it out. Reminds me of Skids track Hurry on Boys.

I posted this in the shoegaze thread last week, but I fucking love this (and the band) so damned much and have been playing it over and over. Favourite song of 2021 so far.

Until the end, when the noise becomes prominent, it's the dominant instrument of the song, and it feels so fluid to it all.Kory wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 2:37pmI like how present the bass is.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑04 Jun 2021, 2:08pmI posted this in the shoegaze thread last week, but I fucking love this (and the band) so damned much and have been playing it over and over. Yes, excellent songwriters.Marky Dread wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 3:53amI've got all their albums and looking forward to the new one. Fine band.

I preordered the new one and it came in a couple weeks ago. It's great, of course I always appreciate a double album. I didn't realize there were other fans here.Marky Dread wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 3:53amI've got all their albums and looking forward to the new one. Fine band.

I really dig them. At 53 mins long for what is a concept album there really wasn't a need for a double disc though.Kory wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 12:42pmI preordered the new one and it came in a couple weeks ago. Yeah, more like a double EP, really. The tone and theme of each disc is different though, so I understand why they did it, but they could have saved the money and spent it on better packaging.Marky Dread wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 1:05pmI really dig them. I'm loving their last single "Lover Undiscovered", I really need to investigate their albums.Kory wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 12:42pmI preordered the new one and it came in a couple weeks ago. My favorites are Invisible Invasion, Roots & Echoes, and Distance Inbetween, but it's mostly great (Magic and Medicine definitely fell into the "difficult second album" doldrums). If you like the Bunnymen, the Butterfly House album is basically a love letter to Ocean Rain. And the first one as you probably know is very influenced by sea chanteys.Heston wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 1:33pmI'm loving their last single "Lover Undiscovered", I really need to investigate their albums.Kory wrote: ↑09 Jun 2021, 12:42pmI preordered the new one and it came in a couple weeks ago.
