I saw the Manchester show on the tour, supported by the Professionals. Great show.

Have you heard any of the tracks?
Speaking of Bear Family box sets, this beauty arrived the other day.WestwayKid wrote: ↑26 Jun 2020, 10:30amTheir Haggard collections are incredible. I have the 3 studio sets, but have not gotten around to picking up the live box. They're unmatched for country collections. Their Louvin Brothers box is amazing.Wolter wrote: ↑26 Jun 2020, 8:28amGoing back to Merle: my library has 3 of their box sets for him, which basically covers everything he recorded before about 1976. It’s amazing.Olaf wrote: ↑26 Jun 2020, 7:58amTheir box sets are fantastic.WestwayKid wrote: ↑25 Jun 2020, 1:37pmIt is. They've collected every recording he ever made...including some unissued songs. It's hard to find any other decent collections of his material.
It has about 7-8 others and they’re all great. Bear Family rules.
I like it.gkbill wrote: ↑26 Jun 2020, 1:37pmHello,
Songhoy Blues - Resistance. Western African stuff that has some rock-ish touches. Iggy Pop actually sings on a track (Sahara) - not really sure why as it doesn't seem to fit (Iggy's stuff with Underworld suits him better). Their latest, Meet Me in the City, is like Africa meets the blues.

Though I haven't properly heard this album I got immediate nostalgia from seeing this as it's one of my dad's favourites. He didn't always listen to Phil Collins.
Funny, I associate with my older sister, who had the album. Quite strange, in retrospect, as her tastes were not cool at all.
