My friend can't stomach that song either...

Anyone here actually like them?
I'm listening to 'em now; "Closer". Good times had by all!
:D
All along I was thinking Travis was a person not a band. I take this excerpt from wikipedia as justification for hate of a band that I know nothing of:
often credited with having paved the way for bands such as Coldplay, Keane and Snow Patrol
I've never heard of Keane or Snow Patrol but Coldplay is an abomination.

Take all the radio-friendly tracks off Radiohead's "The Bends" and add some Morrissey-esque lyrics—that's Travis. They're background music.

First couple of singles were ok, typical radio fodder nothing special.

Q: Why does it always rain on me?

A: Because you're a miserable twat.

Travis aren't anything remotely special, but I really enjoy their music, they're one of those bands where the single isn't the best track on the album.
Being a Radiohead fan as well I wouldn't recommend Radiohead to Travis fans or vice versa, there are similarities of course but at the end of the day they're completely different bands.
I like Travis because they make me happy, their videos are great.

Not a band, but last night the late Buck Owens was the best thing in the universe for about 3 minutes.

OK, sure.
When I ask people if they like Travis I'm supposed to ignore their reply?
I find it rude when people ask me a question and then when I reply to it, they don't say anything.
I'm not running around telling everyone that I adore Travis and that everyone else should, but if the moment comes up (like it did) I'm gonna comment upon it.
So I apologise for making you read my posts.

For the record, I think you should listen to what you want to and not let jackasses like me get you down just because we say it sucks.

Even if it does. ;)
