Love this album too. My list would match except Black Diamond. Replace that with Answering Machine.

Top 5 tracks from "Let It Be" - The Replacements

1. Answering Machine
2. Unsatisfied
3. Favourite Thing
4. I Will Dare
5. Androgynous
I missed this entirely, but honestly that’s a hard one to argue with. I’d probably put I Will Dare and Favorite Thing higher, for personal reasons. Sixteen Blue might push Androgynous out for me as well. I’m on the fence.

And yes, though I love Black Diamond, it’s not quite top 5 on this album, which is a stone classic top to bottom (even the dumb bratty songs like Gary’s Got a Boner)
Definitely one of my fave albums. It covers all bases. I agree about Sixteen Blue and Androgynous nothing really between them. Black Diamond is obviously such a vastly superior cover but it just shows the quality of this album to not include it in the top 5. ;)

There is not a bad track on this album (even Black Diamond).

Let It Be was one of the most important albums of my teenaged years. It has such an upper Midwest feel to it...dreary, yet defiant.

Not gonna lie: I hardly ever check this thread anymore.
Once we'd done all the classic artists it was gonna be a struggle to keep it going but I think Marky has done a good job with the album format etc. But we only have time to read so many threads, there's loads on here I've never even clicked on.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Back in the day when I had a boring office job and nothing better to do I clicked on every single thread, but yeah. I don’t have the energy.

But the naked KISS thread is always an escape.

I do admit I tend to hop on the potential train wrecks first.
