I saw Crass live at Reading town hall. I was impressed by their message and they came across better as an information band than a musical one. Reading had it's own anarcho-punk band that had been going a couple of years before Crass called Zounds they released stuff on Crass Records and were musically far superior.

I have plenty of abrasive sounding stuff but prefer the recording and production to sound better than Crass. Of course this simply isn't the point with Crass in the first place though I see all the albums have now been remastered.

Black box makes me think of Christ, but based on the song selection it sounds like you're talking about Best Before.

Crass is one of my all time favorite bands. Politically, aesthetically, culturally. An incredible, inspiring attempt at living a set of values that was destined for compromise and failure but produced wonderful art in the process.
Getting to a top 5 is going to require some thought.
