Nice one. I was going to pick The Yardbirds version of Train Kept A-Rollin' but then remembered they re-recorded it as "Stroll On" for the 60s movie "Blow Up" and that version is much better. The Motorhead version is also decent.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 2:00pmNew to me, really enjoyed them bothMarky Dread wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 12:05pm4. Number Nine Train - Tarheel Slim

Need to explore the various cover versions, some great ones out there . The original, Tiny Bradshaw, is a fantastic pre-rock 'n' roll jazz swing track.Marky Dread wrote: ↑22 Feb 2024, 3:09pmNice one. This Yardbirds remade cover version is still my favourite. That guitar is a great bit of fuzz.

Someone commented "still wild and unhinged", kind of sums it up. The Clash were playing this at sound checks circa '78.
