We've done Mott.

As I'm moving at last in the next 3 weeks I'll be busy so if anybody wants to take over then apply to Heston.

Someone please explain pub rock to this American. I feel like I maybe understand what it was (and looking at the songs chosen so far - I definitely get an idea) - but looking for a solid description of what it was and what defined it.

Bands that mostly played pub venues that were going against the grain on the Glam rock groups of the era. Playing slighy sped up versions of old standards and R n B covers with their own material thrown in some of the bands went for a American West coast sounds but the better ones like the 101ers went for a gritty R n B sound. The precursor to punk rock. 1972 - 1976 and some carried on beyond these dates moving more into a New Wave style.

I like them. I bought a CD years ago that I never listen to!

I didn't even get into many obscure bands, just other great early singles from the usual gang. A richer genre than usually given credit for.
