Yeah, that doc is great. Great musician and character though i suspect he mightn't have been the easiest to live with!

I think you're right about that, brilliant singer songwriter but dangerous to be around.Low Down Low wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 7:45amYeah, that doc is great. Great musician and character though i suspect he mightn't have been the easiest to live with!

Re: Heston and Marky's Friday Top 5
I remember an interview in a newspaper in which the writer mentioned John's tipple was a pint of cider laced with a quadruple vodka and that wasn't very long before his death. He almost made Shane MacGowan seem temperate. Well, almost anyway! But, for sure, utterly brilliant songwriter, one of my favourites.Toppers Boppers wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 12:09pmI think you're right about that, brilliant singer songwriter but dangerous to be around.Low Down Low wrote: ↑10 Jun 2022, 7:45amYeah, that doc is great. There can only be one for me, I have always loved this. Plus he managed to actually escape in the Great Escape :)

Great stuff thanks, plus Dave Vanian's preference for the night would have been handy helping John Leyton dig Tom, Dick and Harry :)
