Great album
Not a bad track on the whole album. Now if only that first single had been on it. ;)

With your love of Ska I'm surprised you don't know them better.

Hello,

Great album! What an introduction for a great band.

Ranking Full Stop
Mirror in the Bathroom
Whine and Grine/Stand Down Margaret
Tears of a Clown
Rough Rider
Sorry GK but neither "Ranking Full Stop" or "Tears of a Clown" are on the album.
Hello,

Oops! I only have the US version. I stand by my choices for the US version - what's the difference between the US and UK albums?
The US edition added both sides of the debut single (those two) to the running order making it a 14 track album instead of 12.
Hello,

What strong additions! In the UK, was Tears of a Clown only available as singles until What is Beat? and Ranking Full Stop until The Beat Goes On?
Tears Of A Clown was released as a single on Two Tone. The band were always going to put out an album on their own label Go Feet which is why they gave Two Tone a cover song that they weren’t going to use and they kept their own material to themselves.

Their first 2 albums (and singles) are perfect.

Twist and Crawl
Whine and Grind / Stand Down Margaret

I had to leave out Can’t Get Used To Losing You as I didn’t want 2 covers but W&G is too good to leave out thanks to Roger.

I been streaming it this morning and Im familiar with a bunch of these.

What I like most is the heavy sound they have, which isnt typical of their peers at the time, at least for those I know.

Yeah, just a kid. He turned into an all round great geezer by all accounts, so tragic.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
