Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop

Oh ho ho, on a cruise ship, covid is just the appetizer virus.

Falling overboard is always an option.

Just listening to Feel Flows — what a beautiful live Surf’s Up… with a surprisingly gracious intro from The Transcendental One.

That gave me a good chuckle.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

A friend saw Al "Lawn Gnome" Jardine and Friends in DC. I told him I'd give him $25 (US, no less) if, during a lull, he yelled, "Mike Love sucks!" Alas, I am no poorer, but the crowd certainly was for not hearing truth shouted from the dark.

That's a bummer. I don't know what else I'd yell at Jardine for that matter. "Your sole lead vocal "Strange Things Happen" on Summer in Paradise is a highlight on that dreadful album!" That's less effective.

I did see Jerry Rice on the streets of San Francisco and got to yell at him "Art Monk was better." A highlight of my life, even if I know it isn't true.

I think it's the use of the words "sole" and "dreadful" that sell that joke. The weird propriety in a heckle. Les mots juste, as the Pepe Lepews say.

 Little did you know, but JR went home, looked in the mirror for long minutes and had a fitful sleep that night. He phoned his therapist the next morning.
