In his honour, I'll try to write a mopey and boring song today.

Happy Birthday Richard. The rest of your material might be iffy, but you wrote one bona fide classic.

Mick and Keef were breadhead wankers over this.

If I were Mick and keef, I would simply not take credit for that crappy song.

It's not awful but it's nowhere near as good as it thinks it is. Pretty much how I feel about The Verve.

Our decade, our rules!
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'm not that keen on the Verve outside of this song.

Overrated twoddle from what I've heard, which isn't a great deal but hasn't tempted me to seek more which says volumes as far as I'm concerned.

Never understood the hype for DDW, dull whining is all I heard.

Well, none of them are as good as a Replacements song.

Decent bar band but can't imagine them slaying Glastonbury like the Verve did with BS.
