Russians and South Americans get 'gaze or noise pop. No idea why, but I'm rarely disappointed hearing some random shoegaze band from either region.

The flaw in that sketch is the notion that Australians would ever consider higher learning. It's just fantastical.

To be slightly fair, they do give the lion's share of teaching duties to the pommy bastard.

But seemingly they've created an institution for all that. I just don't believe they'd go thru all that trouble when they could just be drunk and thieving all day and night, as is their wont.
