Great punk song, but What's My Name is the only defensible choice.

London's Burning, not a bad tune but perhaps a little simple and doesn't stand out for me.

Keith Levene will be bummed if it gets voted out. Pretty basic song...but the lyrics are worth a chuckle.Silent Majority wrote: ↑05 Apr 2019, 12:54pmGreat punk song, but What's My Name is the only defensible choice.

I've always enjoyed the "nay nay nay nay nay name."

Also, Joe Strummer singing the words "I tried to join a ping-pong club".

Gonna pivot and vote Hate and War. What's My Name is the last of the really down and dirty early punkers on side one. Hate and War gives me the vibe of Remote Control but isn't as good.

And that he's upset because he can't join the ping pong club. I can't vote for this one just yet.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
