Successful marketing strategy and the early days of MTV when more English bands than American made videos, giving the band more exposure than would normally have been expected?

Ah, but SIS was a hit pre-Levis.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I was talking about the UK really, but there is a reason Know Your Rights failed miserably as a single. No amount of videos or promotion could have helped that one.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Apr 2019, 9:09amSuccessful marketing strategy and the early days of MTV when more English bands than American made videos, giving the band more exposure than would normally have been expected?

Heston’s back on the argumentum ad populum kick he uses to defend Kiss.

I checked the single charts and , I mean, I guess they we're modest hits. The real answer is what Doc was saying and, in any case, I've never subscribed to your underlying premise of music that popularity is an indicator no quality.
Anyways, it's all in fun. I love SIS. I love all the remaning songs on this side of CR. Tough choice.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

This is shaping up to be an interesting result. Will "Should I Stay..." actually get voted off? I don't hate the song. It's catchy. Mick definitely has a gift for writing great pop melodies. It gets in your head and stays there - which might be a reason some people don't like it. It's not one of my favorite songs, but I also don't hate hearing it. The goofy Spanish backing vocals are fun. I think I just like KYR a little more. It's different - but in a good way. Joe is definitely preaching - but I've always liked the way he comes across in the vocal.
