ROUND 10 - London Calling - Side Four
With the GEER poll complete - I've decided to push forward with Side 4 of LC so we can keep this thing moving!

I like Lover's Rock but... yeah.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Gotta vote for least interesting track on the side, 4 horsemen coming by you.

There was a whole thread about how awful Lover's Rock was - so surprised it's not getting ALL of the votes!

Lover’s Rock has no business surging this round. And 4H has no business surviving the next.

Lover's Rock and Four Horsemen are both a bit crap, LR a bit more so though. Cringy, don't like Mick's voice in it or the melody. That ending gets a bit better though.

Lover's Rock is the obvious pick and that's what I went for. I like bits of Four Horsemen but it sounds a bit forced in places. Love Topper's drumming on it. It will be next to go.

I voted for the cover regardless of how awesome it is. Lover’s Rock is stellar.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Before I lob tomatoes and eggs at you, define the word "stellar."

Fine, not stellar, but very enjoyable.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑15 Apr 2019, 7:48pmBefore I lob tomatoes and eggs at you, define the word "stellar."
