It’s a delight. I’ll probably go down defending it.

Version City winning this side is probably the most obvious outcome of any of the sides we've voted on for any album.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Yeah, the only proper song on the side really.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Weird, I would’ve thought you’d go for the song that references a train.

It was one of my splits with Kaleb, my not giving a shit about trains or train songs. The relatively small size of the UK makes them harder to romanticise. They don't really appear in British or Irish folk music except as an example of labouring and toil.

He's a rich nerd, he likes trains in the same way a stamp collector likes stamps. The train represents escape, rebirth and excitement in American folk.Kory wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 12:43pmMichael Palin sure likes them.Silent Majority wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 12:41pmIt was one of my splits with Kaleb, my not giving a shit about trains or train songs. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

Does Palin rest his wrinkled penis against the steaming hot coal black metal of a steam engine to climax? We're just asking questions.Flex wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 12:51pmSexually. Yes, and he is the best Hank Williams, Jon, so that's saying something.Wolter wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 1:01pmAh.
