Over the last few weeks OMT has blossomed from a rarely listened to number to an essential Clash track for me. Will be sad to see it go if it does this round.

I can still vividly remember the first time I heard it and where I was. I had bought the LP and had to play it in my sister's room because my needle was fucked. Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
