Im not the biggest fan of the sound of CC (not wimpy, just not big enough) but apart from that it's perfect and the FHTE version is one of the finest things in life. SEH is a barnstormer, spot on start to finish so can't get my vote. RCF is a joy and can make me feel better on even the shittiest of days. STH is genius. Music and lyrics hard to beat.

Might dig a hat out and pull some names out at this rate.

CC gets my vote because of the production. Live versions elevate it to or even above some of these other songs, but sticking to the studio versions, this one doesn’t quite match the others.

Interestingly, live SEH is probably not a top ten live Clash song for me, but it’s a top 3 studio cut.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I hear ya' - I might do the same. I feel compelled to vote - but I won't feel good about whatever vote I cast.

Really? Complete control in the “lead” this early? Way better than SEH. Philistines.

Interesting that 3 of our final four have extended outro chants (two with the exact same lyric). I guess in the end all the people really want is to sing along.

Love SEH but it has to go. I can see some of the points about CC but it is still tremendous in its studio version.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

CC is one of the most important tracks the band ever recorded and despite what some might say - it sounds great.

I first got into the band via Story of. On disc 2, CC made very little impact on me, initially. SEH knocked me on my ass.

There's no easy answer here. Still need to think about it a bit.

I picked STH only for the reason that the Clash were at their best as an energizing band, whereas STH is sobering. Admittedly that reason is only slightly better than flipping a coin, but there you have it.

Yeah, I'm with you on that. I voted SEH last round but somehow it's seeming more essential now and I wanna protect it.
