Re: THE FINAL
I really thought I'd wake up and find Rudie in the lead. I think our highest vote total has been 28 votes - so at this point - I don't see RCF making up the 3 votes needed to tie.

Pessimistic take of CC winning: After fall of 1977, it was all downhill from there.

So much for king slaying!

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Additional pessimistic take if CC wins: We're all Greil Marcus' handmaidens now.

I was pretty sure CC would walk it and was quietly confident it would win from the outset.WestwayKid wrote: ↑09 May 2019, 7:03amI really thought I'd wake up and find Rudie in the lead. Heston and his fake accounts again...
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.
