The fumbling mostly. If you compare it to Mick's obvious playing on LITS, plus what we know Paul sounds like live, it's fairly obvious.

It all hangs together well in the song though, which is gloriously ramshackle. Maybe it would have lost its charm with Rush-style precision playing.
Yeah you don't notice the fumbling in context, it's only when you hear it isolated. Bass is good that way, unless there's a lot of sparseness in the production, you can be a little sloppy and get away with it.
This is a very interesting mix, very Gen X Wild Wild Dubish, and I mean that in a really good way. Very interesting, I was fooling around with the moggs and just got a soupy mess. This is excellent but buried on pages 6 of this thread, I'm lucky I found it.
