Bodies is a close second to Anarchy as my fav Pistols track. Paranoid is good, but slight in comparison, at least structurally.
Bodies has one of the weirdest intros ever.
It primes you for the onslaught pretty well.

There was only ever one vote for me here.
Very dissonant.

I love how the verses and choruses are in completely different keys. No idea what the hell the intro is.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Intro is in A, I think, so three different keys. The change to the chorus is glorious.

Detroit Rock City?
Well that does have a weird intro on the album version.
Not just a pretty face then. ;)
That pretty face is going to hell.

But still three different keys. A great bit of riffage from Steve.

Yeah more luck than chance.

I mean it's no D slide to E repeat. ;)

This is some muso shit but the most cool thing about this song is the vocal melody on the chorus. On Bod-ies the vocal hits an F# behind the G chord, turning it into a Gmaj7. But then near the end they hit an E note behind the G instead, turning it into a G6. It's the subtle, clever stuff like this that the likes of the Expoited just totally miss.

I was gonna correct the spelling mistake but I've decided I'm gonna call them "The Expoited" from now out of pure disdain. It's my new "Earquake Weather."
