I just sang that as a lullaby for my son a few nights ago. Love that song.Kory wrote: ↑17 Apr 2020, 6:24pmIf you get to a point of really liking Bowie, I guarantee Soul Love will shoot right up for you. You'll be sitting in a pub when it comes on and you'll say "holy shit, you know I actually really really love this song." And so it will be until you die.BitterTom wrote: ↑17 Apr 2020, 5:11pmGot it on now, Five Years is very good, love the chord progression. Nice to hear the bass in there too. Just got to the chorus, spot on. Going on a bit now, screaming perhaps too much.
Soul Love comes on like a fast Stand By Me. Yeah this one doesn't do much for me.
Moonage Day, great opening. Liking this so far. Really enjoying it actually, easily the strongest so far. Yep, spot on.
Starman I already knew and love.
It Ain't Easy is ok, chorus easily preferable to the verses. Again, doesn't do much for me.
Perhaps I need to listen to this side a few times as previously suggested, will give side 2 a go tomorrow.
Ziggy was an instant love for me, but it took me another decade before I was a full fan.

Oh man, I wish I was sitting in a pub beer garden in the sunshine waiting for a mate to bring a round back while Soul Love plays.Kory wrote: ↑17 Apr 2020, 6:24pmIf you get to a point of really liking Bowie, I guarantee Soul Love will shoot right up for you. I'm hearing it in a Cockney voice now, rather than the gruff Geordie I'm used to. But it's all good.
