Rancid, Bowie, Roses
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I got suspicious when I saw all these new members: 102Walterton, 103Walterton, 104 Walterton, 105Walterton.

If that crappy Stone Roses song wins, we'll know the fix is in.

The Stone Roses winning over Bowie is exactly why 50 year old British people should stop being allowed to vote.

The Stone Roses song is brilliant. One of the best riffs of its era.

Given Bowie's Broooooosee/Boooooooob reputation here, I confess I would giggle if he lost. Not enough to vote for "Waterfall," but still, exploding heads can be kinda mesmerizing to watch.

I think I've only heard two of these songs.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I suspect Bowie will consolidate votes in a runoff, but that he's neck and neck with the worst song from the worst band to be nominated to date is jarring.

The experience of listening to the stone roses is less exciting than being induced into a coma.

I take it you've never heard "All For One"

Although I do love Waterfall :) Just can't imagine anyone ever thinking it was worse than All For One.

Man, I wanted to join in on the American shit piling on the Stone Roses, but this song isn't so bad. I mean it sounds like a Summer of Love hippie song from California, but melodically it's quite alright. I like the guitar work towards the end too. My biggest let down is that they are way less fun than the Stones and Guns and Roses.

To be clear, I meant that it was the worst song to be nominated so far, from the worst band to be nominated so far, not that it's the band's worst song. Waterfall is relatively tolerable compared to the rest of their turgid, unlistenable catalog of "music."
