I suspect Bowie will consolidate votes in a runoff, but that he's neck and neck with the worst song from the worst band to be nominated to date is jarring.

The experience of listening to the stone roses is less exciting than being induced into a coma.
Man, I wanted to join in on the American shit piling on the Stone Roses, but this song isn't so bad. I mean it sounds like a Summer of Love hippie song from California, but melodically it's quite alright. I like the guitar work towards the end too. My biggest let down is that they are way less fun than the Stones and Guns and Roses.
Whether people like the Stone Roses or not—I love the first album; everything after suggests they only had that one album in them—it's hard not to concede that Squire was (is?) a shit-hot guitarist.

To be clear, I meant that it was the worst song to be nominated so far, from the worst band to be nominated so far, not that it's the band's worst song. Waterfall is relatively tolerable compared to the rest of their turgid, unlistenable catalog of "music."
And to be clear: I’m blaming Stone Roses fans for both Brexit and Boris Johnson.

I appreciate that whenever I'm worried that I'm being insufficiently conciliatory about music tastes, you're always here to push the "no compromise" position forward.

Hopefully this will all lead to insults and people storming off in a huff!

I don't know what Ian Brown did to that wizard to make all his music sound like drills going into bowling balls to anyone in America, but it must have been pretty bad.

Come on. That at least sounds interesting.

That Stone Roses song doesn't even warrant 2nd place.

It's ok but it's no I Wanna Be Adored, poor in comparison.
