Re: FINAL Track 7
I'd go Stranglers 3 and 'cocks 4, but these are all really really great songs. Who knew so many bands put solid gold on track seven?

Re: FINAL Track 7
I'm amazed it's gotten only one vote. An obvious third choice to me.
I've also changed my mind and will go "Bastards of Young" on the final vote (assuming it makes it there) over The Who. Xer view of youth versus Boomer view of youth—gotta stick with my benighted tribe.

Re: FINAL Track 7
Looks like I'm the only one who voted for it. I like the Adam Ant song but it's not in the same league as the rest of the list. I do like the Replacements song but it's a bit behind the Stranglers and Buzzcocks for me.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 1:55pmI'm amazed it's gotten only one vote. An obvious third choice to me.

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
Re: FINAL Track 7
I only put in one vote for the Buzzcocks. I don't understand its current rank.

Re: FINAL Track 7
This is the final there is only a head to head in the event of a tie!!
I am surprised and disappointed The Stranglers in 4th currently. Not only is it a great song (and very timely of course
) it is also a perfect fit for the album and to open side 2.
Stand and Deliver is none of those things and was the end of the Ants for me.
Not a deserving Pogues song for me, sympathy only?
Buzzcocks good choice.
The Who would also be a good pick for winner but I don’t know The Replacements catalogue well enough to comment.

Re: FINAL Track 7
I think it's a great song, one of the best on the debut but I put the iconic Stranglers song ahead of it and the Buzzcocks song just edges it out.revbob wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 5:38pmI strongly disagree.101Walterton wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 5:18pmThis is the final there is only a head to head in the event of a tie!!

It’s a good Pogues song I like it just not that high on my list of their tracks.Heston wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 5:53pmI think it's a great song, one of the best on the debut but I put the iconic Stranglers song ahead of it and the Buzzcocks song just edges it out.revbob wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 5:38pmI strongly disagree.101Walterton wrote: ↑16 May 2020, 5:18pmThis is the final there is only a head to head in the event of a tie!!

No More Heroes is a classic.
Re: FINAL Track 7
Picked the Buzzcocks, (it deserved more votes) and The Stranglers.

There is only a further vote in the event of a tie!!!

Re: FINAL Track 7
Do you have a set time for the poll to run or do you just decide when to close it randomly? Because you can put a time limit on the poll, could make it a bit more exciting.101Walterton wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 3:59amPoll closing soon.

Re: FINAL Track 7
I don’t put a time limit on because I want to give everyone a chance to vote. Usually around the same number vote so clear when over but when it is a close one like this I want to make sure it is fair and tactical voters aren’t stalling then missing out when I close it. Hence the warning.Heston wrote: ↑17 May 2020, 4:40amDo you have a set time for the poll to run or do you just decide when to close it randomly?
