Have to go Strummer even though I was never a big fan of the song.

I like it but Ruby Soho owns it.

The important thing is it has to beat that middling Stones song.

(I love Yalla Yalla - the "so long liberty" line breaks my heart)

Yalla Yalla is one of my all time favourite songs.

What an embarrassment that an absolute dog of a Stones song made it to the final two. Supporters will not tell their grandkids of what they did. Go Joe!

Agreed. Im not a big Stones fan and I probably only listen to a handful of their songs when they come on the radio. Paint... is one and Sympathy is the other.

Ditto. I'll also add the beginning of "Gimme Shelter" to those.

YY in the other hand is both a great Strummer track and a track 9 so well worthy a place on the album.

For a bunch of reasons Yalla Yalla should (and is, at the moment) walking away with this one.
“As I traveled, I came to believe that people’s desires and aspirations were as much a part of the land as the wind, solitary animals, and the bright fields of stone and tundra. And, too, that the land existed quite apart from these.”
