Butthole Surfers - "Kuntz"
Cool because you know there's people just waiting to nominate Blur and their fellow travelers.
I'm only nominating Quixotic no-voters from now on, because I have plenty of UK new wave 1977-1982 comps.
But what about 90s Britpop?
Nil on the album.

Last track to go on the album and interesting to see what nominations come up.
Ghost Track is one of those tracks that appears on a vinyl album but is not included in the sleeve or label tracklisting!!

It can be a whole song added on the end ala Train In Vain on London Calling or maybe a reprise of an earlier track or instrumental version.

As long as it is not mentioned anywhere on the track list or label it is in play*!!!

*subject to Stewards approval. This does not include tracks from albums where sleeve / label etc.. were left intentionally blank for artistic reasons.
So why was Train in Vein left off? Ive never come across a reason why.
I understand it was recorded late in the piece and all artwork etc already at printers?
It was. They managed to etch "Track 5 is Train In Vain" into the run-out groove though.
Lots of weird fables about that one. Namely that they didn't want to list it because it was too commercial which is a dumb story.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

They were gonna give it away for free with the NME then decided it was too good.

I don't believe that one either. I think it was just too late to get it on the cover. But there are always a few myths where the Clash are concerned.

Yeah. I suspect it was just a late recording, too. A fairly harmless myth, though.

I tell you, their mythmaking does make it tough to talk about them to normal people. I end up biting my tongue because no one wants to be the “well, actually” guy.

I had a student in my rock seminar a couple years ago who loved the class because he could be the "well, actually" guy. His buddies want to talk about being real fans and that, and Alex could go, "Well, actually the idea of authenticity is loaded with bullshit because …." I laughed and told him that ruining people's fun is all part of higher learning.

I don’t buy either of those myths either but both sound better than too late it has gone to the printers!!

Be great to get some more nominations for this last track.
You will be surprised how many great songs there are that fall into this category.
It is an interesting subject which is why I included it (plus a nod to The Clash of course) so you can always follow the German’s example and Google it 😉

My answer was a joke, by the way. It’s not a ghost track. I’m editing the post accordingly even though it was never going to win.

From Wikipedia

Butthole Surfers
"Weird Revolution" (2001), After "They Came In," there's 17 minutes and 52 seconds of silence and there's this untitled noise from 21:52–22:23 which lasts 31 seconds.
"Humpty Dumpty LSD" (2002): After "DADGAD," there's a split second of silence and then there is a bonus track on most copies titled "[untitled Hidden Track]" but on some it's called "Track 17" on the CD version only.

There's a ghost track hidden in Peter Ustinov's trousers?
