Though I strongly disagree with 101's opinion that there's any meaningful difference between the HEAVY HEAVY MONSTER SOUND of Black Sabbath and '78 punk, beyond aesthetics.

It certainly bridges Blitzkrieg Bop and Moonage Daydream better.

Maybe part of my bias goes back to 1978 / 79 when battle lines were fiercely drawn and protected. BS and Punk clearly on opposite sides. BS were seen in parched on denim waistcoat or jackets of heavy metal fans and punk bands were on pins of leather biker or bondage bikers. Never the 2 shall cross sides.
On a more serious note to me there is a clear difference in sound between the 2 mostly in relation to the guitar and vocal delivery.

See you're bringing teenage prejudices into this 30-40 years later.
As for sound and vocal delivery the same can be said of the Dead Kennedys. East Bay Ray has a very unique guitar sound that is unlike any other guitar in punk, and Jello's singing. I could go on with other examples as well.
In the end you had a vision and I think you are happy with how it played out and that's what matters.

I always thought Cock Sparrer’s vocals were reminiscent of Sabbath.

available on vinyl only ... well since Paranoid by Black Sabbath is the non-album single, what about the b-side? There are plenty of great choices for that, no? The hard fast version of Revolution by the Beatles was a non-album b-side, pretty hard to beat that one.
