Toyah - Neon Womb

Not actually a serious nomination, but does anyone else remember Shoestring?

I remember seeing Toyah live early 80’s, always a great show. I don’t think her early albums do her justice.
I saw her last Summer at one of those shows where they have loads of 80s acts doing a few songs. It was at the rugby club just down the road from where we live. She was good. Sonia less so, although fair play to her, she did well considering she had her wrist/arm in plaster!
Saw her a few times 80/81 when she was a lot more punk than pop. Shows were very violent but lots of energy.

This has promise to not be the punk/post punk 76-85 circle jerk that the last one was.
I agree this has the makings to be a much more interesting comp
Yeah just needs more kidney punches.

I saw her at the Top Rank in Reading Feb 2nd 1980 and she was great.

Yeah just needs more kidney punches.
Is that a reference to the song picks or the lack of punches thrown at Doc?

So you meant what then?

I came close to asking Doc about a few things but then re-read the rules and he'd covered it.

Well, what do the rules say about kidney punches?

And why no instrumentals, duh? Now Wolter can't nominate The Iron Maidens - Transylvania.

If the puncher is a woman, yes; if the punchee is not, no. Also, the puncher has to be singing at the time.

Because everybody knows that chicks can't do instrumentals properly. The y chromosome is key to a solid instrumental.

Oh, that's a really good one.
She's done plenty of greatness...

Agreed. I mean, she's so great she even makes Thom Yorke enjoyable.

The regret is still in its formative stage. Be patient.

I'll be very disappointed if at least one PJ song doesn't make it.

I agree but people are sure to be disappointed one way or another .
