Nice Rev, interesting to hear people's opinions.
Yes, even when they are wrong. JK
Ill plan/try and do this for the subsequent rounds.

I'll be honest, I don't listen to enough female artists. This has been a good exercise to listen to stuff I haven't heard before and I've enjoyed it. Added quite a few of the songs to my playlists etc.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Sorry for my overly poppy pick everyone. My original choice was this, but I had second thoughts at the last minute. It seemed like it had too much dude singing to pass the bar:

I was asked by a woman a few years ago how many female artists I listen to. And initially I thought it was probably 25%, but after paying more attention and adding a few to my library it is probably 50/50. I will include bands like the Cramps in there too because Poison Ivy plays the guitar so to me that's legit. She was as much a part of the identity of that band as Lux.

And ultimately it has lead to a broadening of my musical horizons.

Finally squeezed them all in. I'd be ok with almost half of them. They basically fall into 3 categories of like it, indifferent, hate it. Fewer fall into the last category than you might expect
You've changed, man. It used to be about hating the music. :disshame:
Im still hating man, still hating look at my reviews. Although my happy pills may have skewed my judgment a little.

The old revbob would have given pretty much everything a -1/10. This guy … yeah … I don't recognize him.

Makes me think of that time Hoy did a Weezer song-by-song evaluation and seemingly gave nothing more than a 6.

Seriously?
I was shocked at how low my percentage was. Obviously not a conscious thing but looking through my vinyl, CD and on line music I wouldn’t get close to 25%?? Not sure why that is, certainly not a conscious bias.
Interestingly when I look at Mrs101 on line playlist she is easily 50% if not higher however I am not that fussed about some of the female artists she listens to most.

That's the catholic guilt, self doubt and loathing creeping in. Ill need a stronger dosage to overcome all of that.
