Kate has much better songs than this one. The whole of Hounds of Love for instance.101Walterton wrote: ↑05 Aug 2020, 9:08pmYep despite it being the obvious pick for Kate Bush it is still my favourite track.

Nah, she was the Orson Welles of the music world. Hit her first delivery out of the park then never bettered it.Mimi wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:25amKate has much better songs than this one. I'm with Mimi. "Hounds of Love" and "Cloudbusting" are better than "Washing your Tights". I really like "The Man with the Child in His Eyes" and "Army Dreamers" way more from the earlier stuff.Mimi wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:33amHow do you handle being wrong all the time?Heston wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:30amNah, she was the Orson Welles of the music world. My friend Christine writes a Kate Bush song-by-song blog, for those who may be interested. Very clever lady. https://katebushsongs.wordpress.com/

Well to be fair this isn't an outlandish view. I've just done a quick trawl of "Kate Bush songs ranked" type pages and it seems to be at number one on quite a few of them and always top 5. Also her only UK number one and it spent a good few weeks there.Mimi wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:33amHow do you handle being wrong all the time?Heston wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:30amNah, she was the Orson Welles of the music world. I do like a few other songs by her a lot, but this is head and shoulders above the rest in my opinion. Not really a fan of the Hounds of Love era stuff, preferred the earlier singles like Wow and Babooshka.

Yeah, but Wuthering Heights just has that otherworldly magic for me. Everything about it is great. Fantastic chord sequence, weird drum timing, impeccable melody and topped with that crazy yet seductive voice.Silent Majority wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:33amLike Orson, three or four classics over the years afterwardsHeston wrote: ↑06 Aug 2020, 7:30amNah, she was the Orson Welles of the music world.
