Take any UK artist's chart success in the early MTV era as a result mostly due to the fact that UK artists produced more videos than American artists. That gave them exposure they otherwise wouldn't have, which led to sales they wouldn't have had. Structure was more important than aesthetics to explain the second British Invasion, even if that's more boring/less romantic.

I'm sure this song was really written about some of 101's teenage exploits and should be called "Bra's in Pocket".
