The Ultimate Women's Album - Side 2 Track 4 Nominations

Post by Dr. Medulla »

Okay, let's review (yet again). The vinyl or cassette release, as confirmed by discogs.com, determines where a song fits in terms of side and track number. If you're only familiar with the cd version, please check with discogs to make sure that the vinyl/cassette version is Side 2, Track 4. You can only use Track 10 *if* there is no vinyl version. One more fuck up and I'm just going to declare the best of Barbra Streisand to make up all the songs.

Also, don't nominate any of the below artists:
Blondie, "Hanging On the Telephone"
The Breeders, "Cannonball"
Dusty Springfield, "Son of a Preacher Man"
ABBA, "SOS"
Althea & Donna, "Uptown Top Ranking"
Kate Bush, "Wuthering Heights"

Nina Simone, "To be Young, Gifted, & Black"
Garbage, "Stupid Girl"
The Pretenders, "Brass in the Pocket"
"I never doubted myself for a minute for I knew that my monkey-strong bowels were girded with strength, like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo dung." - Richard Nixon, Checkers Speech, abandoned early draft

Hello,

I've been waiting for this one. It won't appeal to many with a high degree of pop sensibility but this was a tremendous no-wave song with a lot of pop appeal for a no-wave group. Dated looking video but still....

*buzz* "Too Many Creeps" is Side 2, Track 2. Which is a shame because it'd be really cool to get some now wave/mutant disco representation.

massive, massive fuck up last round by interrupters-stans such as myself since side 2 track 3 of the first album is their absolutely colossal Friend Like Me and I think that might have been the song that could have finally gotten them on the board.

Tho Rumors and Gossip, the correct track from their latest is probably my fave off that record so I'm nominating it. What the hell
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Hello,

I'm sorry about this - really sorry as this is a great track. I've been going to allmusic.com and counting (see my other apology in the thread about the Interrupters).

The same mistake I made for TDK but I went to Wikipedia. Discogs it is in future!
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

discogs is superior because it has info for all kinds of variations of album releases. I think it was in one of the early rounds that I cleared a song because it showed up in the right spot on a Portuguese release.

Not finding a vinyl version where it's S2T4. Do you have a link?
