In the movie Contact, there's an amazing sequence where we move from Earth out into space, faster than radio waves, so we get to travel back in time as radio signals move outward. For the early 80s, we hear is "Funky Town." I wondered if that was affectionate or some kind of dig about Western culture—that's what we're sending out into space.
