Re: The Ultimate Women's Album - Side 2 Track 5 Nominations
I was gonna nominate one of at least three fantastic Joni songs that slot in here (Woodstock, The Last Time I Saw Richard, Both Sides Now) but, hell, I don't think any of them will win so might as well lean into some all time killer punk rock:
Crass - Dry Weather
Crass - Dry Weather
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

I had that to add awhile back, but that double lp fucks things up. Same for what I wanted to list for Arcade Fire's Suburbs.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑15 Sep 2020, 12:09pmNope, sorry. The only vinyl version is a double lp, where's it's Side 4, Track 3. It would have been eligible for Side 2, Track 3, but not Track 5.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I had this album as a kid:
I dl'd it a few years ago. It, uh, doesn't hold up.

I have been trying to work out for a while which Siouxsie track to nominate. I'll nominate this one before leaving it too late.
