The Ultimate Women's Album - Side 2 Track 5 Vote - Round 1a
We've got six songs here, let's get it down to one or two.
"Wandering through starry skies and when tomorrow's day arrives, I'll be a morning closer to the brightest hour here with you. One step closer, getting brighter. One step closer, getting brighter." - Richard Nixon, Checkers Speech, abandoned early draft

I'd forgotten how much I like Playing Your Song.

Somehow all four of the ones I want to vote for are in this section and none made it to the other the b section. Ah, well.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

Crass and Interrupters it is.
That Crass song is great - the album, Penis Envy, is still one of the great female-fronted punk albums of the genre and the lyrics are sharp and biting. Crass lets there be a bit more space in this song that some of their others, and it really brings the singing and lyrics into relief, which is great. Despite a lot of visually aesthetic imitators, this song is a great example of how Crass was really in a world of their own. Accept no substitutes or imitators.
And the Interrupters obviously I've made the case for before.

Voted for Au Pairs and Crass. First time hearing the Crass, this was really good.
