The Ultimate Women's Album - Side 2 Track 5 Vote - Round 1b
We've got six songs here, let's get it down to one or two.
edit: Ha! Whoops on my sloppy copy-paste on the post title. Hopefully Uncle Inder will clean that shit up.

Re: REPLIESVIEWS LAST POST The Ultimate Women's Album - Side 2 Track 5 Vote - Round 1b
None of these were my top tier choices, but went with Detroit Cobras and Portishead, the latter of which is a bit of a 90s nostalgia pick, but well earned nostalgia.

The Take a Bow video has serious pull for the matedong.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Oh yeah. Not enough to vote for it though.
Who pfaffed the pfaff? Who got pfaffed tonight?

I hope not. I'd prefer Repliesview's last post to remain a mystery.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 8:13amWe've got six songs here, let's get it down to one or two.

That was strangely never a hit here but a local DJ insists on playing it what seems like every other day.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 5:17pmSolve that and you will live forever young.*Olaf wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 5:11pmI hope not. An absolutely terrible song. When I did my lecture on nuclear imagery in pop music, I said that it's always the worst song on any random early 80s compilation.Heston wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 5:55pmThat was strangely never a hit here but a local DJ insists on playing it what seems like every other day.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 5:17pmSolve that and you will live forever young.*Olaf wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 5:11pmI hope not. Hadn't heard any of these before. Really liked the Detroit Cobras song so voted for that.

It is hideous. Well done to the British public for not buying it.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑17 Sep 2020, 6:01pmAn absolutely terrible song. I believe this answer to be correct. I picked the same.

Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

They're starting to get more common. You'll be listening to Dynasty next.
