I really like the second side of this album.

Another sneaky strong side of vinyl. The Carl Perkins tracks aren't particularly extraordinary, but are nonetheless solid.

A surprisingly tough choice. I went with Everybody's Trying to be My Baby because it 1) is not better than the original and 2) feels weaker than everything else on the side.

The band hashed out a handful of covers at the last minute to pad out the LP and it shows. They don't sound very inspired and while they play them well enough, they lack any spark.

This really is a good LP that falls under the radar. As an American, I wasn't even aware that this LP existed until I was already an established Beatles fan. I knew the songs, but I knew them from Beatles '65 and Beatles IV.

Yeah, lose the covers and you have a decent album. I think What You're Doing is a very underrated song tucked away in an obscure place. Sounds more like a Rubber Soul track.

Every Little Thing is a fantastic track. It shouldn't have any votes in the 1st round ;) !

Beatles for Sale is like Bob Dylan (also) in '64 or the Beach Boys recording the Party record: a band right on the seams of what they were and what they were about to become. Fucking love it.

I had another listen to the album tonight, the Harrison track is awful. I voted out Ringo as a reflex action but upon reflection I was wrong.

perhaps the title of the song is a metaphor for its inclusion on the album.
