I quite like I Need You especially that weird guitar effect but it has to go.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Agreed. Having mostly listened to this album in the CD/MP3 era (my parents had quite a few Beatles lps, but they were the American versions, which is especially inferior in this case), I didn’t realize how strong an a-side it has. Lots of good stuff on the B, but this side is STACKED.
