I walked down the aisle to Tori Amos' Winter,
I love it when Jenny, Wolter, etc.'s 90s love sneaks out.
In Jenny’s (and the rest of our) defense, we had to listen to something that decade. It’s more that you choose the shitty stuff to lionize.
Wolt's post-grunge shame is probably my favorite example.
I have no shame in liking that excellent song about a dog!

Also, I would argue due to release date it’s closer to sub-tier cash-in grunge.
What song about a dog?

I always thought that was the definition of post-grunge?
Sort of? It’s a grey area, but STP and Paw are cash-ins (bands existing concurrently with the bringer era making a grunge album, Bush and Collective Soul are closer to post-grunge. (Bands which sound like a shitty Pearl Jam cover band at all times).

Jessie, by Paw (it’s not actually excellent, but it’s about losing a good dog after running away from home with him - how can I not!?!)

And, let's be honest, PJ is just a shitty classic rock band.

Now you are going to get Jenny B into post grunge or subtier cash in grunge. The dog topic is the gateway, her 90s blood will hook her for good.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Blackbird must win. Again, a whopper of a song. Julia is decent if a little plain.

It's interesting that both tracks are solo - Blackbird is all Paul and Julia is all John. Not a Ringo or a George to be had.
