I'm looking for input on how we handle Abbey Road, specifically the medley.
Do we break it up track by track, or group together?
Here Comes the Sun
Because
You Never Give Me Your Money
Sun King / Mean Mr. Mustard / Polythene Pam
She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight / The End

I suggest song by song so the face meltingly rocking Polythene Pam doesn't get harmed by the dead weight before it.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 Jan 2021, 1:42pmI'm looking for input on how we handle Abbey Road, specifically the medley.

Re: Abbey Road??
I've always seen Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End as one piece. The rest could be separate songs.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I won't hear a bad word about Mean Mr Mustard! Great, fun tune and love the vocal harmonies.Silent Majority wrote: ↑27 Jan 2021, 2:23pmI suggest song by song so the face meltingly rocking Polythene Pam doesn't get harmed by the dead weight before it.WestwayKid wrote: ↑27 Jan 2021, 1:42pmI'm looking for input on how we handle Abbey Road, specifically the medley.

Re: Abbey Road??
I always think of the whole thing as one song because of the "You Never Give..." reprise toward the end. But I don't feel strongly enough to fight for it.

Re: Abbey Road??
I'll reiterate my opinion again, I think Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End sound like one co-joined song. The others sound like independent songs which have just been cobbled together.

I hope this pre-vote vote ends in a vote so we can vote
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak
