To the contrary. It's about a music critic coming to accept poptism and shit like Celine Dion. It's a really stupid exercise in justifying modern pop. If you want to like it, fine, whatever, but don't pretend that this is some intense intellectual exercise, especially when you don't have the chops to present it as an intense intellectual exercise. I came away with my view of Dion unchanged, but concluded Wilson deeply wishes he were a more serious person.

So Doc gets to decide now? A bit too early in the game to consider bribery.

Only if there's a tie for who gets eliminated. I don't otherwise vote, so I'm just exercising my choice when it's relevant. This way we're guaranteed to move the rounds along each day rather than doing revotes.

I think the final will be London Calling Vs The Specials.
There's at least 8 cover versions across those two albums.

SLF and the Jam vs The Clash and The Specials in the semi finals is my tip. That's how it should be anyway.Marky Dread wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 7:48pmI think the final will be London Calling Vs The Specials.

Almost, sir.... I'm thinking (hoping?) The Clash, SLF, The Jam & EC for the finals. The Specials was produced by EC so one way or another he's going to the final round!Heston wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 8:05pmSLF and the Jam vs The Clash and The Specials in the semi finals is my tip.
