Happy Birthday...
Re: Happy Birthday...
Thanks everyone! Except Wolt and Jenny B (per fb). Wife took the kid and gave me a few hours of alone time to mow the lawn and play the drums. Haven’t had time to myself in months.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I read that this was, for lack of a more appropriate term, an old wive's tale. I hope it is actually true, because my mom's dad had a good head and my dad and his dad do not.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑09 May 2020, 11:28amMaternal grandfather, I assume? It almost always comes thru the mother's line. My mother's brother was bald and while my brother has escaped it, two of four nephews (all from my sisters) are in the same boat.

I recall reading a few years back that something like 95% of hereditary baldness goes thru the mother's side. Anecdotally, in my experience, it plays, too.Kory wrote: ↑09 May 2020, 4:11pmI read that this was, for lack of a more appropriate term, an old wive's tale.
