No can do for me either unfortunately, I'm just not comfortable with webcam stuff, never have been. It was stressful enough doing it for my job interview a few months back. I don't even like talking to people on the phone. But yeah, raise a glass for me too.
Sorry I just imagined that you unknowingly took a job as a web cam sex worker guy. "You want me to put what where? Fuck off you cunt !"(viewer gives a tip).

But seriously, yeah I get this. FWIW, you can join in voice mode only. Turn off the video or put a piece of gaffer tape over the camera.

Would love to be involved possible.
Where are you located and does Friday (which seems to be where people are leaning) work?

With Hes and Maj gone, anyone else from outside the US/Canada interested?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'm in.

Also, would anyone be interested in making a charitable donation in his memory? The obit said they were asking for donations to the hospice.

You posting a meeting invite to people's shouldn't be a security issue other than someone we dont want joining. People could also PM you their email and you could send the invites out that way. And if people dont trust giving you their email they can make a yahoo mail or gmail account for free and anonymous.
Nobody would have to send me an email address. I can just send the link via PM.
Hello,

If you require a password to enter, you can pm passwords as well. You may want to consider posting the URL, than asking anyone who wishes to attend pm you for the password.

I dunno, if I have to PM the password, I may as well not post the link and just provide that privately. Ultimately, I'm concerned (not overly, mind you, but sensibly?) that posting a Zoom link publicly will somehow reveal my private room ID or something like that, which could then be compromised down the road.

Anyway, if people say they're interested or maybe interested, I'll PM the link a couple hours before it begins. I'll also include SM and Heston on the off-chance they change their minds.

I'm in for this, were you thinking of doing a lump sum on behalf of the board?

Exactly. Maybe we can discuss it further on the zoom.

Asking again, anyone outside North America interested in joining? If not, I'll do a quick doodle poll to see when the best time is around tomorrow evening.
